My grandfather passed away on October 31, 2007. Pop Pop was a first sergeant in the US Army and received the purple heart and bronze star throughout his tours in the Korean War and WWII. Our family was able to bury him yesterday in Arlington National Cemetery. (It took so long due to a backlog of funerals for the men and woman killed in Afghanistan and Iraq.) It was a beautiful ceremony.
Cindy has become quite domesticated since getting married last November. Cindy made a cake for Thanksgiving this year shaped as a turkey. The bread is suppose to be the stuffing coming out of the bird.
The center piece was vanilla (the white meat) and the wings and legs were chocolate (the dark meat.)
...to eight brand new basset hound puppies.
My parent's basset hound, Clancy, met a female basset hound named Molly and they fell in love. One thing led to another, and now there are eight new puppies in the world.
Look how little this guy is. (And he's the fatty of the bunch.)
