Unexplainable

What the hell?

Dear Mr. President

I don't listen to the radio much these days, but as I was driving to the metropolis of Lock Haven (Walmart) I heard a song by Pink (U and Ur Hand) which I thought was quite funny. Upon searching for the song on the net, I came across Dear Mr. President. Now, I'm not as backwards as you think. I have heard of the song but never actually heard the song. Anyways...I like this song.

I know what's going on in this video but I don't know why. Anyone have any ideas?

Harry Potter

I just received my copy of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling from Amazon.com. I am enjoying it immensely and I am extremely glad that I fought the urge to read all the leaked information on the net.

Amy Butler

I just recently received my Amy Butler's In Stitches book in the mail. I ordered the spiral bound book from Ebay and I am extremely excited to start trying to make some of her projects. The book includes pics, detailed instructions and patterns to create projects for every room in your house. Below are some of the pics in the book that I want to start creating. Hopefully mine will look as nice as Amy's.

Fireworks

Tonight in good ole' Lock Haven fireworks began around 10pm. I'm not sure why but it was a pleasant surprise. We took some pics while sitting on our backporch (how cool is that?) and I have to say that I am very pleased with my camera. It's a Kodak Easy Share and it has a really nifty feature for taking pics of fireworks. Above is a pic with the camera on the fireworks setting.

This is a pic with just the auto setting with no flash.

Squiggles in the sky!

I think this one is my favorite.

The only problem with the fireworks setting is there is about a second and a half delay from when you press the button to when the camera actually snaps the pic. After figuring that out, we were good to go.

Pot Holders

I like to crochet but I'm not very good at it. I know one stitch and that's all. But with my one stitch knowledge, I made two pot holders. Now I have no reason to burn myself when I cook.

4th of July

We set off some of those cheesy fireworks in our backyard on the 4th. Nothing really exciting but some of the pics are neat.

Flowers and Cats

This is a pic of a Mandevilla that's in bloom on my back porch.

One of the blooms fell off and Baxter was nice enough to pose for this picture before he tried to eat the flower.

Beautiful Lucy.

Introducing Princess McGee.

Flowers

I watered my flowers today and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take some pics. Above is a Black Eyed Susan.

This is a close up of our Butterfly Bush.

The Butterfly Bush and some Black Eyed Susans.

This is the whole Butterfly Bush. Just to give you an idea of how enormous this plant actually is.

I'm not exactly sure what this is...but it's a perennial and it's gorgeous when it blooms.

I'm sure Katie will love this pic of a Gerber Daisy. Sorry Kate, the pink ones were not blooming yet.

This is a small area next to the house in the beginning of the summer. On the left is a plant called Loves-Lies-Bleeding and the green leafy plant is called Black Hollyhock.

This is the small garden today.

Up close of Loves-Lies-Bleeding. Reminds me of dreadlocks.

Up close of the Black Hollyhock.

Patchwork Binder

I've been crafty again. I was reading How about orange... and I found a link this cute little tutorial from Craft Apple on how to make patchwork journal covers. I used her template but changed it around a little to come up with a patchwork binder.

I ordered these Amy Butler fabrics from Ebay. I love Amy's style and her really neat projects.

This is a pic of the inside of the cover.

And this is a pic of the outside of the cover.
I am quite proud of myself.
