Early Christmas Present

Some of you know that Denny and I are getting married in June 2008. We weren't sure if we were going to do the engagement ring thing, but low and behold, I received a B~E~A~U~T~I~F~U~L Christmas present tonight.

Gratuitous ring shot

This was Denny's little surprise in the box. Ha! And after I received my actual ring, I decided to let him open up his XBOX.

I won't be seeing him for a few weeks.

Benny Lava

This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.
Warning: The chorus will get stuck in your head!

This is so neat!

Happy 26th Birthday...

...Britney.
(I'm such a Britney Gossiper a.k.a. "Loser.")

It's official!

Yesterday, I received my commitment letter from the VA Medical Center. Beginning January 2008, I will be the new Recreation Therapist at the VA (Veterans Affairs.) I'm so excited!

When Cats Attack

The Hills (kinda)

A parody of The Hills by James Franco and Mila Kunis.
The only thing that's a little off is the fact I've never heard JustinBobby talk to Audrina Patridge that much in an episode.

The Landlord

This is an oldie but freaking hilarious.

More puppy pics

I couldn't resist posting more puppy pics.

And here's a puppy video.
(It gets really cute around 38 seconds.)

Pop Pop

My grandfather passed away on October 31, 2007. Pop Pop was a first sergeant in the US Army and received the purple heart and bronze star throughout his tours in the Korean War and WWII. Our family was able to bury him yesterday in Arlington National Cemetery. (It took so long due to a backlog of funerals for the men and woman killed in Afghanistan and Iraq.) It was a beautiful ceremony.

The honor guard.

The 21 gun salute.

A solider playing taps.

My sister is...

...freaking Martha Stewart.

Cindy has become quite domesticated since getting married last November. Cindy made a cake for Thanksgiving this year shaped as a turkey. The bread is suppose to be the stuffing coming out of the bird.

The center piece was vanilla (the white meat) and the wings and legs were chocolate (the dark meat.)

And I thought I was crafty.

The Book of Love

This is my new favorite song. Rose Polenzani and Rose Cousins sing Peter Gabriel's "The Book of Love."

Yesterday, my family had a garage sale. I made $55.25.
I'm rich, bitch!

I'm an Aunt...

...to eight brand new basset hound puppies.
Aren't they adorable?

My parent's basset hound, Clancy, met a female basset hound named Molly and they fell in love. One thing led to another, and now there are eight new puppies in the world.
(Seven males and one female.)

Look how little this guy is. (And he's the fatty of the bunch.)

Lazy Sunday

It's sad when a SNL short film is better than the actual movie.
This video is awesome.

People Getting Punched Just Before Eating

I love this.

This is for my sister Cindy and best friend Katie. I know you gals love grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Boooo

(Picture done Perez Hilton style.)
I cannot stand Spencer Pratt. I think Heidi Montag has been brainwashed. I have no clue why she likes that loser. God...I love The Hills.

Every time I watch this show, I fall in love more and more.

I want this bag!

This bag is from designer Anya Hindmarch. It quickly became sold out in many different countries the first day it was released. Some of the originals are going for hundreds of dollars on Ebay but I'd settle for a knockoff for $20.

Posting again

I haven't posted in forever. Katie talked me into posting again. I'll try harder this time.

Mouse in the House

Last night Baxter caught a mouse in the house. This is the second one this summer. Unfortunately, I have no pics of this hunt...the mouse was still alive and we figured it would be nice to set it free.

Unexplainable

What the hell?

Dear Mr. President

I don't listen to the radio much these days, but as I was driving to the metropolis of Lock Haven (Walmart) I heard a song by Pink (U and Ur Hand) which I thought was quite funny. Upon searching for the song on the net, I came across Dear Mr. President. Now, I'm not as backwards as you think. I have heard of the song but never actually heard the song. Anyways...I like this song.

Thriller

I know what's going on in this video but I don't know why. Anyone have any ideas?

Harry Potter

I just received my copy of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling from Amazon.com. I am enjoying it immensely and I am extremely glad that I fought the urge to read all the leaked information on the net.

Amy Butler

I just recently received my Amy Butler's In Stitches book in the mail. I ordered the spiral bound book from Ebay and I am extremely excited to start trying to make some of her projects. The book includes pics, detailed instructions and patterns to create projects for every room in your house. Below are some of the pics in the book that I want to start creating. Hopefully mine will look as nice as Amy's.

Fireworks

Tonight in good ole' Lock Haven fireworks began around 10pm. I'm not sure why but it was a pleasant surprise. We took some pics while sitting on our backporch (how cool is that?) and I have to say that I am very pleased with my camera. It's a Kodak Easy Share and it has a really nifty feature for taking pics of fireworks. Above is a pic with the camera on the fireworks setting.

This is a pic with just the auto setting with no flash.

Squiggles in the sky!

I think this one is my favorite.

The only problem with the fireworks setting is there is about a second and a half delay from when you press the button to when the camera actually snaps the pic. After figuring that out, we were good to go.

Pot Holders

I like to crochet but I'm not very good at it. I know one stitch and that's all. But with my one stitch knowledge, I made two pot holders. Now I have no reason to burn myself when I cook.

4th of July

We set off some of those cheesy fireworks in our backyard on the 4th. Nothing really exciting but some of the pics are neat.

Flowers and Cats

This is a pic of a Mandevilla that's in bloom on my back porch.

One of the blooms fell off and Baxter was nice enough to pose for this picture before he tried to eat the flower.

Beautiful Lucy.

Introducing Princess McGee.

Flowers

I watered my flowers today and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take some pics. Above is a Black Eyed Susan.

This is a close up of our Butterfly Bush.

The Butterfly Bush and some Black Eyed Susans.

This is the whole Butterfly Bush. Just to give you an idea of how enormous this plant actually is.

I'm not exactly sure what this is...but it's a perennial and it's gorgeous when it blooms.

I'm sure Katie will love this pic of a Gerber Daisy. Sorry Kate, the pink ones were not blooming yet.

This is a small area next to the house in the beginning of the summer. On the left is a plant called Loves-Lies-Bleeding and the green leafy plant is called Black Hollyhock.

This is the small garden today.

Up close of Loves-Lies-Bleeding. Reminds me of dreadlocks.
